Hinsdale Library cardholders receive free admission to many exciting museums and cultural institutions throughout the Chicagoland area.

Museum Adventure Pass

Visit the Library or place an online request to receive a one-week pass for the museum of your choice. These passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and each family may only have one pass at a time. For a list of participating museums and what each pass offers, visit the Museum Adventure Pass website. Popular attractions include Brookfield Zoo, Chicago Botanic Gardens, Cantigny Park, and Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn.

Explore More Illinois

Explore More Illinois is a cultural pass program that provides discounts and other offerings from museums, historical societies, performing and visual arts centers, and other attractions across the state. The program is free for adults 18 years and older who have a library card from a participating library. Offerings differ by attraction and include free or reduced admission, free parking, discounts at gift shops and more.

Explore More Illinois passes are available online. Visit the Explore More Illinois login page and type in your library card number and PIN to see offers at attractions around the state including the DuPage Children’s Museum, Chicago Children’s Museum, Exploration Station in Bourbonnais, and Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park.
