The Digital Media Lab is an advanced multimedia creation center available to Hinsdale Public Library cardholders. Whether you need to compose a musical masterpiece, take photos for eBay, record a podcast, shoot hi-def video, or scan cherished family snapshots, we’ve got you covered.
The Digital Media Lab is equipped with a variety of tools for digital creation including a keyboard, microphone, Wacom tablet, photography studio equipment and more. If you are interested in more information about the Lab’s features, please call the Library or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Digital Media Lab is available for Hinsdale Public Library cardholders in 3 hour increments. Patrons under 18 will need a completed Digital Media Lab Permission form and those under 16 will also need a signed Internet Permission Form on file before using the lab.
The library offers a flatbed scanner in the Digital Media Lab for preserving your old snapshots or documents. After scanning, use the Mac to edit and save your treasures.
If you would like to scan directly to email without editing, the Library’s copier on the main floor includes this feature.
The heart of the digital media lab is a 27” iMac equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud software for creating and editing your creations.
Convert your old VHS collection to DVD. The Library offers two options for conversion. A converter with monitor is available in the Digital Media Lab. We also offer a converter for check-out with a Hinsdale Public Library card.
