The Digital Media Lab is an advanced multimedia creation center available to Hinsdale Public Library cardholders. Whether you need to compose or edit a musical masterpiece, take photos for Etsy, record a podcast, shoot hi-def video, or scan cherished family snapshots, we’ve got you covered.
The Digital Media Lab is equipped with a variety of tools for digital creation including a keyboard, microphone, Wacom tablet, photography studio equipment and more. If you are interested in more information about the Lab’s features, please call the Library or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Digital Media Lab is available for Hinsdale Public Library cardholders in 3 hour increments. Patrons under 14 will need signed Internet Permission on file before using the lab.
The library offers scanners in the Digital Media Lab for preserving your old snapshots or documents. After scanning, use the Mac to edit and save your treasures.
The scanners are:
- Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner (featuring 6400 x 9600 dpi for enlargements up to 17″ x 22″)
- Epson FastFoto FF-680W High Speed Photo Scanner with Feeder Tray (featuring up to 1200dpi; scans items up to 8″ x 10″ and up to 35 at a time)
If you would like to scan directly to email without editing, the Library’s copier on the main floor includes this feature.
Updated in 2018, the heart of the digital media lab is a 27” iMac equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, GarageBand and other software for creating and editing your visual and audio creations.
