Hinsdale Public Library is pleased to announce the launch of our new Seed Library on February 17! Come see our vast selection of flower, vegetable, and herb seeds available for “checkout” by HPL cardholders.
Using the Seed Library is easy:
- Step 1: Select up to ten seed packets from our collection behind the Adult Services desk on the main floor.
- Step 2: Check them out like any other library materials.
- Step 3: Plant your seeds and enjoy!
- Step 4 (optional): Save your seeds in late summer and return them to Library to use next spring.
Have questions? We have three gardening programs planned for this season, and our librarians are always on hand to point you towards great resources. Click the dates below or visit our events page to register.
- Feb. 17: Seed Starting: Give Your Garden a Head Start
- Apr. 20: Vegetable Gardening in Containers and Raised Beds
