Summer Reading 2024
Go on an adventure this summer—and let us be your guide! Whatever your age, you can explore new places and new ideas through reading, and HPL is the perfect place to start your journey.
Kids: Update your log every time you read for a chance to spin the prize wheel at the Library! Participants who finish the program will get a book to keep (while supplies last). Don’t miss our kickoff party June 3 or our storytimes at Burns Field Park throughout the summer.
Adults: Grab a ticket in the Lobby every time you read, listen, watch, or attend any adult program this summer, then return it to the Reference Desk or Tech Help Desk to be entered into a drawing for a Starved Rock Lodge gift card. You will also earn a treat with each ticket submitted.
Teens: Grab a log from the Youth Services Desk to keep track of how many books you’ve read and collect prizes along the way.
Prize distribution begins June 10 for adults and June 15 for kids and teens.
