The Youth and Young Adult Services Department has volunteer opportunities to assist with programs and many other ways to assist staff and patrons. Teens grades 6-12 may sign up for volunteer opportunities using our Event Calendar (see upcoming opportunities here). Tasks may include program help, craft preparation, toy cleaning, etc. Sign up for the day and time slot that works for you, or contact the Youth Services Department with questions. High school students can also get involved through our Junior Advisory Board; you can learn more about JAB here.

Adult Volunteers: The Library has occasional needs throughout the year for volunteers to help with special events, book sale items, Doorstep Delivery, and other tasks. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, please fill out a volunteer application form or email volunteer@hinsdalelibrary.info.

Community Service Volunteers: Under certain conditions, the Library accepts adult volunteers who are required to complete community service hours by the local court system. We have very limited opportunities for this type of temporary, time-sensitive volunteering, though. If you have community service hours to complete or have questions, please fill out a volunteer application form or email volunteer@hinsdalelibrary.info.
